Our Wednesday mini-market is for everyone. We could all use a break on the price of fresh produce and that is what the market tries to offer. Drop by and be inspired to cook! And for those nights when it’s just not gonna happen, check out our community dépanneur, where you can purchase prepared foods at really great prices.
The market is from 10:30 to 3:30 on Wednesdays. All are welcome!

Yes, there will be a Mini-market next Wednesday. Exceptionally, the price list is not available yet, but it will be uploaded to this space early next week. Our prices are more than competitive, so plan to come by the Mission between 10:30 and 3:30 on January 30th. Community lunch as always served at 12:30.

Our Kitchen Coordinator and a team of volunteers have been busy in the kitchen this week transforming turkey leftovers into delight! As of now you can purchase delicious turkey pies from our community dépanneur at the modest price of $10. There are also (generous) individual frozen turkey dinners available at an unbelievable $3! Come by soon before they all disappear.
Notre coordonnatrice de cuisine et son équipe de bénévoles se sont occupés dans la cuisine cette semaine afin de préparer des délices pour vous. Dès maintenant vous pouvez acheter des pâtés de dinde appétissants de notre dépanneur communautaire au prix modique de 10$. Vous y trouverez aussi des repas congelés individuels au prix incroyable de 3$! Passez vite avant qu’ils ne disparaissent.

If you look at your calendar, you might notice that September 23rd is actually the 4th Sunday of September, but we’re advertising Messy Church on the 3rd Sunday of the month. What?
You’re right: we’re messing with you. This month our informal celebration is the fourth Sunday, but moving forward it will be the third. If you’re the type who likes to mark their calendar ahead of time, here are the next dates:

The Children’s Christmas Party is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 1st this year. Meanwhile, join us September 23rd at 12:30 for family, food and fun:
SouthWest Kitchens will be preparing some 275 healthy lunches for the students of Verdun Elementary on Thursday, September 20th. Wow!
The action is being undertaken by a collective of Montreal-based community organizations and NGOs who are calling on provincial parties to commit to providing healthy lunches that highlight local and sustainable products in all schools in Quebec. Bilingual press release below.

Un plant de tomate à la fois is pleased to offer its food transformation workshops, "One healthy recipe at a time" again this year.
We have the privilege to do so in collaboration with SouthWest Mission.
The collective kitchens will be every Thursday from 5:30PM to 8PM for 10 weeks starting September 6th (see poster below).
